Horizon Europe - Looking for participating in a consortium for a call on AI techniques for industrial production

No-profit consortium company in Genoa (Italy), aggregation of regional companies, is searching for consortia in the framework of the call "HORIZON-CL4-2021-DIGITAL-EMERGING-01-10: AI, Data and Robotics at work". The proposal is the creation of high-level Digital Twin system that can be integrated with AI techniques for the optimisation of industrial processes. Digital Twin is one of the main technologies of Industry 4.0 and allows the definition of a digital model of the production plant.

The no-profit consortium company, located in Genoa (Italy), aggregation of regional companies working in the field of automation and industry 4.0, is searching for consortia working to present a proposal in the framework of the call "HORIZON-CL4-2021-DIGITAL-EMERGING-01-10: AI, Data and Robotics at work".
The proposal aims to build a Digital Twin that also works with more structured information such as production order, production list, work cycle, stock levels, etc. It is possible to apply AI techniques to Digital Twin for planning the production, as for example the following use cases:
1) Construction of production cycles starting from data collection obtained from past productions.
2) Online rescheduling: allowing effective management of unexpected events with respect to a defined plan of activities
3) What-if simulation for the sizing of production plants, providing support to companies in the delicate phase of evaluating an upgrading of production plants in case of a growth in demand.
The Italian entity is looking for consortia with expertise in the field of Industry 4.0 technologies to submit a proposal within HORIZON-CL4-2021-DIGITAL-EMERGING-01-10: AI, Data and Robotics at work. Deadline 21 October 2021

Advantages & innovations

Digital Twin is one of the fundamental technologies of Industry 4.0 and allows the definition of a digital model of the production plant. Because of the progressive "feeding" of real data, the Digital Twin is updated to allow simulations, optimizations and what-if analysis in the short term.
