Short summary An Irish Future Mobility Testbed with expertise in the fields of autonomous connect vehicles as well as automotive testbed and smart city infrastructures, is looking to partner with a Horizon Europe Cluster 5 consortium. Can also contribute to aspects of Cluster 3 & 4.

Full description This Irish organisation is the first complete development centre and full-scale test bed in Ireland and operates across Europe. They offer a Land Mobility test facility located in real-world settings, providing users with the ability to test and enhance their innovations. Users have access to a road network that is retrofitted with interconnected state of the art sensing and telecommunication technologies. All their facilities are fully accessible and controlled via their dedicated control centre. The testbed is highly connected with fibre network to our dedicated data centre. It is equipped with multiple sensors, CCTV, a set of traffic lights along with high accuracy location systems, as well as a data management and control centre. Their testbed facilities can be configured to mimic a smart-city environment. They provide their customers access to an advanced control room capabilities enabling insightful and data-driven monitoring as well as visual analytics of mobility data. Their control room is fully equipped with an audio-visual system for real-time monitoring of the testbed. At their headquarters, customers can avail of private and secure workshop bays with all relevant services including high-speed broadband, a private virtual network, and a secure facial recognition access control. Customers are also offered access to a private or a common laboratory for any hardware works, etc. Their Drone Port is designed to be scalable and mobile. To support testing and operations, the Drone Port offers a flight operations centre and a mobile unit to allow flexibility for off-site testing. The flight operations centre is based on a modular container equipped with the necessary radio and communications equipment to ensure flight safety. The facility focuses on comprehensive mobility technologies that span both ground (autonomous driving, micro-mobility, smart cities, V2X communications) and air (unmanned drones, eVTOL, AAM, UTM) uses. They support a range of parties; from individual researchers to multi-national corporations, as well as start-ups and government entities. They also assist organisations to conceive, develop, trial, and deploy societally transformative transport solutions locally and globally. Calls identified: Most of Cluster 5 as well as aspects of Clusters 3 and 4.

Advantages and innovations • They are an Irish SME and can therefore provide SME input and perspective into relevant projects • Their testbed can be used for scientific research that develops and tests solutions in the real world (in both air and land scenarios • Developing and testing of digital twins (for both land and air) and cooperative data spaces that integrate object and external contextual data • Near real-time data upload via fibre connected road network • Rapid verification using a micro-testbed approach and implementing through proof-of-concept • In-house data centre with secure log-in for users of the facility • Relevant business expertise in the automotive sector, with particular focus on connected autonomous vehicles / software defined vehicles • Excellent facility for demonstration projects including automotive, air and smart city • Excellent track record in both national as well as EU funded projects (including as coordinator of projects).
