Full description Transpolis is the world-class center for innovation and development in the field of safe and sustainable vehicles and infrastructures. They deliver a range of products and services, calling on teams of PhDs, project managers, engineers, technicians and test drivers to meet customers’ needs. Transpolis offers infrastructure testing such as crash tests on road safety equipment in virtual and real conditions, vehicle testing for all type of vehicles, and it has an recognised expertise in Abdominal Pressure Twin Sensors (APTS) for child dummies. Transpolis is an active member of the CEN (European Committee for Standardisation) working group, with the mission to constantly develop and evolve CE standards. The R&D center has identified the following Horizon Europe calls to be interesting regarding their activities and expertise : HORIZON-CL5-2023-D6-01-02: Generation of scenarios for development, training, virtual testing and validation of CCAM systems (CCAM Partnership) HORIZON-CL5-2023-D6-01-10: Better infrastructure safety on urban and secondary rural roads throughout a combination of adaptable monitoring and maintenance solutions HORIZON-CL5-2023-D6-01-12: New ways of reducing serious injuries and the long-term consequences of road crashes. Transpolis is seeking consortia that are currently forming to make its contribution.

Advantages and innovations

• Transpolis can offer a level of expertise and equipment for performing crash tests on road safety equipment under virtual and real condition (a 27 year-experience) as well as for endurance, reliability and performance tests, standard and customised tests. The company has also developed a unique APTS sensor for the Q-Dummies series. Transpolis can deliver a wide array of engineering and simulation services.
• For almost three decades now, Transpolis have been involved in several R&D collaborative projects both nationally and internationally, including EU fundings.
• They can offer 130 hectares of specialised facilities to test vehicles and features.
• Transpolis has 2 complementary proving grounds. Fully modular, they can be tailored to meet customer requirements and enable a wide range of tests.
