Full description An innovative Italian startup, founded by an experienced medical Doctor expert in Biomedical Technologies, has designed and patented a new manual toothbrush perfecting the traditional toothbrush with a new, practical and easy-to-use ergonomic shape for tooth care. This new toothbrush design consists of a handle and a mobile bristles portion, suitable for more accurate and effective oral care and teeth brushing. It is known that, in order to be correct, the toothbrush movement must follow the longitudinal axis (vertical) of the tooth, brushing from gum to tooth on the internal and also external surfaces, or the toothbrush can rotate on the same surface. Traditional toothbrushes, even new ones, have a fixed conformation and a unique, obliged position - allowing a correct action on the external gums and teeth surface, but not so on the internal surface in which the movement, be it longitudinal or rotary, results uncomfortable and is not correct for proper dental cleaning. Also, any manual toothbrush is not easy to use in the correct way and it usually does not include a portion to properly clean the tongue, requiring an additional specific tool. To overcome this drawback, the Italian startup proposes its innovative manual toothbrush with variable positions as the bristles can assume different positions with respect to the toothbrush handle. In fact, the portion equipped with bristles, thanks to a junction connection mechanism, can assume different positions with respect to the toothbrush handle according to the angle formed from the longitudinal axis of the handle itself with the bristles: -1st angle position = 0° (usual configuration of toothbrushes) -2nd angle position = +45° -3rd position angle = 90° -4th angle position = -45° (135°) (additional positions allowed by the innovative toothbrush with variable positions). Each angle position is ideal for different parts of gums and teeth, in their internal and external surfaces including tongue cleaning. Given the aim of the patented invention - to guarantee simple yet effective oral care - not all positions are allowed, but only the preset, correct, and best-performing ones: the device has a predetermined and limited number of operational positions. This allows using the device more easily in the correct position for everyone. The toothbrush is also ergonomic and versatile as it can be used indifferently by right- and left-handed people, given the mirroring of the two positions (+45° and -45°). The junction mechanism allowing the movements is of great functional and constructive simplicity and is therefore of economic material production. The bristled portion of the innovative toothbrush is removable, which means one can only replace the bristle when worn, keeping the handle thus saving resources in a broader sense (economic, ecological, less waste etc). Materials used for the manufacturing and their shapes and sizes can vary, depending on the requirements (also eco-friendly materials). The invention is patented and a prototype is available; this innovative toothbrush is ready to be manufactured and enter a highly receptive market. The inventor is looking for a commercial agreement with technical assistance to manufacturing the toothbrush, in partnership with tooth care devices producers able to implement the invention and bring it to the market. An investment agreement will also be evaluated by the Italian startup.

Advantages and innovations - The use is extremely simple yet effective and does not require additional tools or complex positions, thus supporting the fidelization of use. - The toothbrush is safe: the innovative junction mechanism blocks the brush in the preset positions only, by a practical simple gesture: the brush part cannot rotate or detach accidentally. - The toothbrush is completely ergonomic and right-handed and left-handed people can use it. - The toothbrush is of functional and constructive simplicity: the device results in a simple and sturdy structure in order to have moderate costs, adequate to the requirement of a large production. -The functional parts of the device can easily be made interchangeable; the bristle portion is removable, maintaining the usual handle and thus saving natural and economic resources. -The device can be constructed with eco-friendly or recycled materials.
