Full description BMAT is driven by machine learning and copyright expertise. Their system pumps neutral data and authoritative knowledge to everyone along the chain, telling when and where any song is played and providing the metadata describing who owns the rights to each track. We would like to upgrade the device we use to monitor music played in public spaces with a low-cost custom Linux-based computer appliance that meets the following basic specifications: ● Audio interface with line input (jack, minijack or both) ● Good quality built-in microphone ● Wi-Fi & Ethernet ● SIM card slot (4G) ● USB, HDMI ports ● GPS ● LEDs for status information ● SONOS support ● Bluetooth support The device must be robust, easy to install and as small as possible, capable of running the required software services (recording, uploading or network connection, among others). BMAT has a wide network of music monitoring devices installed in public spaces such as pubs or discos, so that artists and music creators get the recognition they deserve. We currently use an all-purpose industrial minicomputer configured with the necessary peripherals, but the scalability of music monitoring solutions in public spaces largely depends on deploying inexpensive and convenient devices that are designed specifically for their purpose and are easy to install and maintain. This new computer appliance will be the cornerstone of the service and will be distributed to thousands of venues in dozens of countries.
