POEM - Predictive Oncology via Engineering Modeling

The idea applies to the complex scenario of cancer growth and fight for the implementation of a virtual patient software. “POEM” (Predictive Oncology via Engineering Modeling) will improve clinical treatment and drug development, at least for few applicative cases, to begin with.

POEM will do this by enabling the development of new routines to model cancer diffusion in low-cost commercial software, which is usually deployed for engineering and physics problem and thus cutting costs and increasing ease-of-use and development for these IT tools.
