Short summary A French SME expert in manipulation and assemblies by robotics for miniaturised components with high accuracy is willing to extend its knowledge in the healthcare sector to develop reliable and miniaturised products and automated tools. It has been working with European companies since 2011. Its core business is in the field of semi-conductors, micro-electronics and watchmaking industry. Technical cooperation is sought also with medical industry and academics.

Full description Located close to Switzerland, the French SME has developed a very specific know-how in robotics handling and assembly for manipulation of miniaturised components with high accuracy. Thanks to the machines already developed, its customers now assemble millions of components in a few months. The results are unrivalled, compared to results obtained with manual work still used in precision industries. Miniaturisation is more and more important in the medical field thanks to less invasive, less power-consumpting, less expensive and wearable products. The benefits are higher for developers but also for consumers. It is a real challenge and it requires great effort, perseverance, quality but above all higher skills from the first prototype to a full production. A medical background but also a good knowledge of miniaturised components is necessary. Most often, skilled people are assembling manually devices or using semi-automatic devices. Thus, the French company is offering its robotics services to reduce the difficulties during all the development process, help the partner to push forward the level of innovation in its products and improve the working life of the employees. The deeptech offers several services and for instance : - analysis of the current process, - realisation of feasibility studies, - development of cobotic modular and ergonomic platforms (for trials and small production), the robotics equipment brings accuracy to the users, - development of full automatic flexible and ergonomic devices (for medium and big production), - share its knowledge in micro-robotics, -handling and -assembly with the partner who will be fully independent and skilled, - intake of training material or equipment to train the new generation, - develoment of breakthrough solutions for the partners. For each project, the company values the cooperation and is committed to the success of the projects. Its knowledge is based on : - manipulation of components up to 5 µm, thanks to different grippers (fully customisable and adaptable with sensors), - accuracy of assembly up to +/- 5 µm, - development of platforms or machines adapted to the size of the partner's production, easily upgradable thanks to the modularity of the systems, its flexible high-vision software and its experience built since 2011. In addition, this company developed its know-how in - glue micro-jetting, - UV-reticulation, - stamping of micro-components - ink deposit - 3D-printing The French SME is keen on adding new technologies bricks to this catalog and continues to extend it by studying different technologies of micro-manipulation and assemblies (soldering ...).
